An advertisement appeared in Sunday's Burlington Free Press that I thought I'd pass along. It's against construction of a wind farm in the Northeast Kingdom. The ad is hypocritical and misleading.

I agree, you nailed it. The people who made the ad are banking on the fact that the average reader won't follow up and check on the facts and oppinions.
Over time after reading a bunch of these ads, these same people will arrive at the conclusion that Windfarms are bad and ugly and kill birds and errode soil. Bad, bad, bad, "Vote No" on windfarms.
As a culture we seem to have no problem seeing already in place distructive industries, like strip mining or quarries. But we can't get on board with having a dozen uniform looking towers spinning away the hours providing power to many communities.
I am not sure who to be more mad at, the folks who make the false and misleading ads or the people who aimlessly follow them and end up spreading the untruths.
