Road Work Ahead

Saturday, September 30 2006 @ 12:18 AM EDT
Contributed by: Bryan

Richmond NewsRoad work has begun near Round Church

Please use caution when driving from the bridge and around the curve near Vt Green Grocer.

Looks like they are stripping the road in order to repave it. Manhole covers are therefore a few inches HIGHER than the road. If you are not careful, you will nicely "thump" over them so, again, use caution.

Maybe its me, but does anyone else find it curious that they are going to strip-repave before fixing the bridge? With all of the heavy equipment needed to enact repairs, I wonder if the roads will have to be repaved again.

and speaking of the bridge... when is that slated to be fixed? Are there any hard dates that anyone would like to comment on.

Thanks
