Floodings over this past week left behind a wake of destruction as well as beauty.

Residents of Dougway road noted a washed-out bank. Downed trees caused the road to be impassable on the Huntington side.

Crews worked over the past few days to assess the damage and return the road to a usable state.

Elsewhere, the flooding caused massive, temporary lakes to form. while these were awe-inspiring, they no doubt caused a bit of damage to areas throughout our community.

Bridge Street was closed on the park side, due to flooding that crossed the roadway. Pictures seen here were taken hours later, once traffic was allowed through.
