In an effort to curtail a ton of Comment-Based Spam, MyRichmondVT.com makes a small, but notable change.

For the time being, all comments will require that the user login.

If you have a problem using your real name, feel free to create an alias for yourself (hopefully this is not a concern as MyRichmond strives to be a very open community portal).

The Spambots have been out in full force for the last month and a half requiring a ton of maintanance in order to keep story Comments from filling up with useless and annoying Spam.

Hopefully this effort will aid in the desire to eliminate these useless posts.

While MyRichmondVT.com encourages posts from members of a contributing community, MyRichmondVT.com does not extend that courtesy to automated systems that post nothing but Spam to the website.
