This year, the town of Richmond has seen quite a bit of interesting developments. As part of the New Year lets try to document this town a bit more thouroughly.
2005 saw:
-Another death at Huntington Gorge
-A commitment to keep the Gorge "open"
-The continued battle over the Impact Fee
-Senator Edward Flanagan invlolved in an interstate accident on I-89 (Richmond)
-The passing of Ginny Cochran
to name a few.
This has been a strange year for the country and for Richmond. I have not kept any sort of journal about this year, but these were the first thoughts that passed into my mind on this Eve of the New Year.
Surely, if I thought long and hard, I would think of dozens upon dozens of stories that were worth mentioning.
My hope for 2005 is that many of you contribute stories that are of interest to you. MyRichmondVT is a resource and as such, will try to help the community in any way possible.
May this year bring you and your loved ones a safe and happy time. For those who awaiting safe return of a family member, our thoughts are with you. For those who have the entire family safetly at home, enjoy them.
May Richmond Vermont be a safe haven for all families in the days and years to come.
Happy New Year Neighbors.
-Bryan
