2007 Town Plan UpdateSarah Bombardier, MS, LE, opened a new permanent hair removal business, Blue Door Electrolysis, in Richmond this month.

The business has been a dream of Sarah’s for several years and this summer she was able to pursue that dream. She undertook a 600 hour course and was graduated from River Rock Electrology Institute based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and then successfully passed the Vermont state board exam to obtain license to practice.

“We all have unwanted hair and Blue Door Electrolysis provides a safe and comfortable environment for people to have that unwanted hair permanently removed. Blue Door Electrolysis is in a convenient, private, and serene location with ample free parking.”

Blue Door Electrolysis is located at 401 Wes White Hill in a custom designed studio. Sarah's husband, Roger, a computer technician with UVM acts as handyman & webmaster. “I moved to Richmond from Hinesburg when Roger and I got married in 2004. His family has been in Richmond since 1926 so it’s wonderful to live and work in a community with such an established family.”

Blue Door Electrolysis uses the most up-to-date and modern equipment that offers several forms of treatment. “The latest equipment is designed to be fast, efficient, and effective. The epilator is computerized and can deliver a current in 16/100ths of a second to eliminate unwanted body hair permanently. We welcome any and all questions about this process.”

The service has a variety of pricing options starting from $20 for 15 minutes, with discounted pre-paid packages available. “It’s really quite affordable considering the results are permanent. For next summer’s brides wanting eyebrow work, now is the time to start and special pricing can be arranged for the entire wedding party.”

Office hours are flexible with evening and weekend appointment available. Blue Door Electrolysis is currently taking appointments for free initial consultations and is generally booked about one week in advance. Contact Sarah directly at sarah@bluedoorvt.com or 434-6311. “We encourage anybody who is interested to schedule an appointment for a free consultation, which includes 15 minutes of electrolysis. Then we can establish the best plan for each client.”

Blue Door Electrolysis proudly supports Vermont’s service men and women and their families. Valid military ID card holders, or those with a DD-214 receive a $5 discount on any service 30 minutes or more.
