PoliticsLets really re-open the debate about the bridge.

WCAX ran a story about bridges in decay and featured ours.

It is about time that this is finally addressed as this bridge poses serious concerns and hassles for commuters.

On one side of the debate, it is great to slow down the flow of traffic through the community, thus "maintaining" the rural feel of Richmond.

On the other side, it has become a practical barrier for many people who need to get to work on-time.

When discussed, which spin was put on this bridge issue by the town?

I wonder,

Lets fix it and lets set up a fund to fix it again in the future. Lets make certain that the fund cannot be accessed for any other practical projects.

We all knew this day was coming, so lets prepare for the next.

A good place to get up to speed on what's going on with the bridge is the
town website. If you have any questions, you can ask a bridge
committee member of a member of the selectboard.
