While I am new to these parts, it never ceases to amaze me that farmstands are still an active part of the communities. I cannot figure out why Richmond does not have more farm stands.



Owlhead farm, I think that is what it is called, is a pretty good farm for picking your own blueberries. They have music sometimes too. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out why the owners don't have a stand somewhere in town.

Once again, I find myself asking people if they know of any good places to stop, by the roadside, and pickup strawberries, blueberries, corn and lettuce.

My aunt says that there used to be a stand by Faye's Corners, but that hasn't been there for a season or two. Does anyone know what happened or where it moved to?

Again, any suggestions on where to get good fresh, local fruits and vegetables would be nice.
